Hey all,
I'm curious to know, how many Zoners like Tool, and what do you like, about the band, or if you dislike them, your thoughts are wanted as well.
Personally, I think the reason I like Tool so much, is 1: Maynard's voice is so melodic, 2: the drumber amazes me, 3: There lyrics provoke such feelings in me, I don't no how to say what they actually make me feel..., but...
Now, your thoughts, please.

I love Tool. They have to be one of my all time favorite bands.
I too, am amazed by the drummer, and what he can do, wow! And, Maynard's voice, and they way he inflects things, and the music, and the words, just...? Well, mezmerizes me.
Anyway, I've only just gotten i n to Tool, but I find their music to be just awesome!

tool is the best band and maynard is a god. but that's just my opinion. He is fabulous in whatever he sings and relly he has an amazing range. I'm a tool nut, can't you tell. listen to his solo stuff puscifer, it's rather amusing. it's true maynard raw and just being him. hugs all

i actually heard that album. i thought it was a little strange. not what i expected. a little too hard core for me.

It is rather hard core but classic Maynard. If you listen to Maynard's lyrics you'll notice he has a preoccupation with orfices, most commonly anal so him actually singing about the vagina is rather shocking. 4 degree's is about anal sex, stinkfist anal fisting prison sex...you get the picture. smile!I've been listening to Tool since 1992 and the growth in the last 16 years is wonderful. yes, Danny Carey is a remarkable drummer, second and third only to John Bonam of Zepplin and Neil Pert of Rush. seeing them live is stunning and the closest thing to an orgasm. If anyone would like to continue this subject in more depth contact me. I could talk Tool and APC for hours. Seen them 6 10 times through the years and love them. Hugs

I am a huge fan of tool and had the pleasure to see them live twice in new york city.
It was one of the most amazing experiences. The way they were set up the performance just took over. I'm not even making sence it was just an amazing thing.

great band! The only album is 10000days. Do you know if a new album is coming out soon?

Yeah Tool is awesome, they'd be awesome to see in concert, so I think anyway.

Hey all,
I like Tool but I'm not a huge fan of them. I like Maynard's voice.

10,000 Days is not the only album. They dropped an EP in I believe 94 called Opiate. After that was Undertoe. Then I think it was Lateralus, then Aenima, then a live album called Salival, and finally, 10,000 days.
Tool, as a band of musicians is simply amazing. However, over time, they seem to have changed from Progressive metal to Let's talk smack on the government metal. That's really what pisses me off about Maynard. Decent lyricist, wonderful voice, douch bag political agenda shoving down the throats of his devoted fans. It's more prevalent in A Perfect Circle, whom I never really cared for. I mean they're jjust Maynard's politics. At least with tool there was some anal rapage and stuff going on. I mean I absolutely love old Tool. But new tool seems like Maynard's jjust going "Hey, let's try and insight our fans into anarchy".
To be fair, Puscifer is just mind numbingly awesome. It's funny, it's sexy, it's everything an industrial side project should be. V is for Vagina is a cool album, and I'd totally boink to it if I had a coppy.

Um...yeah? I like Tool, but they're not one of my favorite bands. I see nothing wrong with A Perfect Circle either. It's easier to listen to than Tool. Some of the songs are too long and drawn-out for me. But they're definitely a very talented band, just not one of my favorites.
